ABOUT US
Our Mission
To unite in a common group, all collectors of real estate, and all other taxes.
To provide a means for dissemination of information and education on assessment and tax collecting practices.
To engage in publishing constructive reports; to cooperate with others interested in assessments and taxation.
An occupational group is only as strong as the power its members can collectively wield among those who influence their profession. The greater the number of members of the Pennsylvania State Tax Collector’s Association, Inc., the greater the ability to accomplish the members’ professional goals.
Act 48 of 2015 established a mandatory continuing education requirement for all Pennsylvania Tax Collectors. The Act mandates that ALL Tax Collectors receive two (2) continuing education credits before the end of the THIRD year of their term in Office. If you do not take AND self-report 2 continuing education credits to the DCED (Department Of Community and Economic Development) by that time, you will not be able to run for re-election.
