Welcome to the website of Pennsylvania State Tax Collectors’ Association, Inc.
Working towards the goal of better communication between the taxpayer, tax collector, and all elected officials of the State of Pennsylvania.
Established, 1958
MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the PA State Tax Collectors’ Association, Inc. is:
To unite in a common group, all collectors of Real Estate, and all other taxes.
To provide a means for dissemination of information and education on assessment and tax collecting practices.
To engage in publishing constructive reports; to cooperate with others interested in assessments and taxation.
An occupational group is only as strong as the power its members can collectively wield among those who influence those who influence their profession.
The greater the number of members of the Pennsylvania State Tax Collectors’ Association, Inc. therefore, the greater the ability to accomplish the members professional goals.
We can achieve far more as a group than as individuals!
Many collectors collect EIT, prepare PA State and Property Tax Rent/Rebate forms for individuals, are committee persons in their communities, and serve on various non-profit boards.
MAJOR GOALS OF THE PSTCA FOR THE BENEFIT OF ITS MEMBER ARE:
To keep abreast of current laws and pending legislation that affects tax collectors.
To offer educational opportunities to improve its members’ skills in the service to taxpayers.
To provide member services which will make the Tax Collectors jobs easier and more efficient.
To demonstrate honesty and integrity and, by example, add to the prestige and trust in the office.
To make available benefits which will save money for members and help insure the health and welfare of Tax Collectors, their families, and their employees.
To conduct annual conventions, in October, to provide the tax collector with workshops, seminars, and speakers that will benefit the members in the collections of taxes. **
To provide periodic newsletters to keep the members abreast of news and changes that affects the office of Tax Collector.
